Upgrades to groundwater plant #1
At Centennial Water, we're always looking to improve efficiency while prioritizing community and environmental safety. As such, we have enhanced operations at our Groundwater Plant #1, located at 1801 E Wildcat Reserve Parkway, which treats water from several wells. Because groundwater is pulled from deep below the surface, it can contain particles and sediments that we do not want in the water treatment plant. Previously, our team had to manually flush out this water before sending clean water to our facility—a very time-consuming task. Now, our new system lets us flush multiple wells at once, saving time and ensuring that cleaner water reaches our treatment plant. Residents may notice water flowing in the open space southeast of the Highlands Ranch Mansion and near the Diamond K trail. Rest assured, this process happens only once or twice a year, lasting just a couple of weeks, and poses no harm to the open space, community, or trail. Our close partnership with the Highlands Ranch Metro District keeps them fully informed of this process, and our team remains dedicated to protecting our environment while delivering the highest quality water to our residents.
