Centennial Water & Sanitation District regularly maintains its infrastructure to ensure safe, sustainable, and reliable water and wastewater utility services to customers. Projects are designed with the least impact and disruption to customers as possible.

Marcy Gulch Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Marcy Gulch Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase II Improvements Project is a four-year long project scheduled for completion in the spring of 2024. The improvements will enable the plant to meet enhanced regulatory permit requirements from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and replaces aging infrastructure.

  • The new Ultraviolet Disinfection building has been completed and is now operational. Plans are underway to decommission the existing Ultraviolet system by spring of 2024.
  • At the Chemical Building, piping, tanks, and electrical are being installed. Expected completion is spring of 2024.
  • At the Bio-Solids Dewatering Building, centrifuges, piping, odor control, and electrical are being installed. Expected completion date is spring of 2024.
  • Various site work activities, including the installation of concrete sidewalks, stormwater piping, and paving, are ongoing. These tasks are slated for completion by fall of 2024.

Joseph Blake Water Treatment Plant

The Joseph Blake Water Treatment Plant Phase 1A Improvement Project began construction in the fall of 2022 and is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2024. The project includes improvements to the pretreatment process that will increase process capacities and meet the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment design criteria requirements. The project will also include improvements to the treatment plant’s backup power system.
